Everything you need to know before your first request or offer.
How do I get offers on my request?
Post a request with a clear description, your budget and your location. Providers who work in that category and cover your area are notified in batches, and they send you offers in the app. You will get a notification each time an offer arrives.
How long does my request stay open?
A request stays open for 24 hours or until you choose a provider, whichever comes first. If it expires without a provider being chosen, you can repost it at any time from the request screen.
How many offers will I receive?
A request accepts up to 10 offers. Once it reaches 10, no further providers can bid, which keeps the list short enough to compare properly.
How do I choose a provider?
Open your request and review the offers. Each one shows the provider's price, rating and profile. Tap Select on the offer you want — the provider is told immediately, contact details are shared with them, and a chat opens between you.
Can I cancel a request after posting it?
Yes. Open the request and choose Cancel. Providers who already sent you an offer are notified and their bid credit is refunded, so cancelling costs them nothing.
How do I become a provider on Skillzy?
Sign up as a provider and complete your profile: your categories, the areas you serve, your experience, pricing, working hours and an ID document. You start receiving matching jobs once the profile is complete.
What does the verified badge mean?
It means the provider uploaded an identity document and our team checked it. The document itself is stored encrypted and is never shown to other users.
What are bid credits?
Providers spend one credit to send an offer. Your plan includes a monthly allowance — see the Subscription screen for what your plan gives you. Credits are refunded automatically if the customer cancels the request.
How do I sign in?
Enter your email address or mobile number and we send you a one-time code. There is no password to remember or lose. If the code does not arrive, check your spam folder before requesting another one.
How do I turn notifications off?
Open Settings and switch off Push notifications. This applies to your account on every device. You will stop receiving push alerts, but your notification list in the app keeps filling up, so nothing is lost while it is off.
How do I contact support?
Use the Contact us row on this screen to reach our support team by email. Include your request number if your question is about a specific job — it is the fastest way for us to find it.
